YOO.MEE High Pressure Handheld Shower Head Review

YOO.MEE High Pressure Handheld Shower Head Review

We have been on the hunt for an affordable shower head for months. Many failed and few surprised us. However, the YOO.MEE High Pressure Multi-Functions Handheld Shower Head was like a powerful stream of fresh water clearing out the competition.

The Specs

We found the YOO.MEE shower head on Amazon. It has a 4.5 star rating out of 5 stars. It costs around $24, which is about as cheap as it gets for a handheld showerhead. It is made of plastic parts with the exception of the hose. The hose itself is about 5 feet long, providing ample room for any showering need. The head comes with three settings, including a massage function. The head mount is articulating, so it can be pointed in various directions for convenience.

The Experience

The water pressure took us by surprise. The highest setting is enough to almost knock you back. Getting shampoo out of your hair is a breeze with this shower head. The three settings allow for a gradient of pressure variance, so you are not stuck with just three showering settings. The unit also advertised an anti-bacterial coating, which should be helpful, but no details were provided on what kind of coating was used.

The ergonomics of the YOO.MEE shower head are great. It does not feel cumbersome at all. The head is very lightweight, making it easier to position in the mounting bracket. However, the water pressure is powerful enough on this shower head that it produces a projecting force on the head, which is mildly interesting for some reason.

The Build Quality

The build quality is actually quite sturdy for a plastic shower head at this price point. It feels solid. The hose is stainless steel. The unit comes with Teflon tape and two extra rubber gaskets, which is an added bonus. Installing the head was painless and quick. Overall, the aesthetics are simple and functional, making the YOO.MEE High Pressure Shower Head an excellent all-around choice for most bathrooms.

If you are looking to take your shower water pressure up a notch, consider giving this shower head a try. Changing your water pressure and flow rate via your shower regulating valve can be quite a bit pricier than this unit, so we recommend giving it shot before calling a plumber.
